Dawlish Black Swan Cameras

Dawlish is famous for being the home of the Black Swans.  There are records of Black Swans being on The Brook in the early Twentieth Century but between the two World Wars, they died out.  In the late 1940s, Captain GRS Pitman, a game warden in Uganda, presented a pair of Black Swans to the Town of Dawlish in memory of his parents.  Black Swans have lived on The Brook ever since and have been the emblem of the town for more than 50 years.

Oakcliff Holiday Park are delighted to sponsor the Black Swan Cams, so that we and our friends across the country (and world) can catch up on these unique creatures.

As you have an interest in the Black Swans, why not book a break at Oakcliff Holiday Park and take a stroll along the waterside, you might even see the swans up close and personal.

Oakcliff Holiday Park is ideally located just a few minutes from Dawlish Warren beach, so you can be well rested, and up and ready to go each morning after a comfortable and relaxing evening.

There is a lovely range of accommodation for you to choose from mews cottages and comfortable caravans and of course our hot tub lodges – perfect for relaxing after a day of swanning around.
